Biography
Allan Jenkins is the deputy editor of The Observer and the editor of its magazine section, Observer Magazine. He was born in 1954 and grew up in a Barnardo's Boys Home. Jenkins' career as a journalist includes working on GQ, the Press Gazette and the Observer's previous magazine supplement, Life.
He has two children with different mothers and is married to Danish architect Henriette Helstrup.
