Popularity: 1 Vote: | I wanted to meet people who were outside the business. In Los Angeles, when you're successful in some way, you kind of forget the rest of the world. Here, there are doctors, lawyers, psychiatrists, a lot of other worlds. And I wanted to live among people more. I live in this old house with other people. I like going downstairs and saying hello to the doorman next door. |
Popularity: -1 Vote: | I'd like to meet a lovely man who shares my interests. On the other hand, I possibly will not. It's part of the hand you're dealt. It's a challenge-and I'm not atypical. |
Popularity: 1 Vote: | I'm not saying that there's anything better than mated bliss at its best, but I'm saying that living alone is as good in its own way. But we haven't quite given ourselves permission to recognize that. |
Popularity: 0 Vote: | I've always supported myself. I like the sense of knowing exactly where I stand financially, but there is a side of me that longs for a knight in shining armor. |
Popularity: 0 Vote: | Marriage takes work, but so does living alone. One of the things you have to work at is to have enough human resources and to plan ahead... be willing to take responsibility for making the arrangements and building the bridges. People will walk across the bridge to you, but they probably won't build the bridge, and once you accept that, then you can have a very full life. |
Popularity: 1 Vote: | There are tens of millions of people living alone now. There are more people living on their own than there are living in nuclear families today. |
Popularity: 1 Vote: | Today's woman doesn't have emotional or financial security. She has to go out and compete within a highly materialistic machine-and because of that she has guilt about both her family and her job-how do you do both? With the opportunity goes a sense of loss. |
Popularity: 0 Vote: | When I was in Hollywood, I saw people piling up power, position, money, but I didn't see that they were happy. So I do things that make me happy. I write, I study, I do voiceovers, I do poetry readings, I do a play occasionally. I enjoy living. |
