Biography

Ken Calvert (born June 8 1953), American politician, has been a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives since 1993, representing the 44th Congressional District of California (map). He currently serves on the House Armed Services Committee, the House Resources Committee, and the House Science Committee. He is the Subcommittee Chairman of Space and Aeronautics within the Science Committee. He was born in Corona, California, was educated at San Diego State University, and was a restaurant manager and business owner before entering the House.
